Vespa Racing Project
Design and construction of a boxed frame in aluminum sheet metal for competitions reserved for the Vespa category. The focus of the project was on the search for maximum lightness combined with a greater rigidity of the frame compared to the original one, greatly improving handling. The frame also provides for the adjustment of the steering head angle and the possibility of moving the engine-transmission group towards the front or rear, in order to be able to vary the weight distribution.
QJ Motor Factory Steering Plate Project
Project created for the QJ Factory Motor team, the official team of the QJ Motore brand in the Supersport World Championship and the first Chinese brand in history to participate in a World Motorcycle Championship with a motorcycle of its own production. The first step involved, for the pre-season tests, the study, design and creation of a steering kit completely adjustable in the steering angle (with 7 different options) and in the offset (with 3 options). This was possible thanks to a particular solution of bearings and inserts studied by us, given the impossibility of boring the steering seat for the assembly of the classic inserts. After testing all the possible combinations and finding the best angle and offset solution, we re-designed the entire kit making it fixed (as per FIM regulation) with the measurements decided during the tests.
250cc 2t Road/Track Motorcycle Project
Design and construction, for an Italian company, of a prototype motorcycle intended for road-track use, powered by a 250cc 2-stroke parallel twin with electronic injection and equipped with an aluminum deltabox frame composed of two bolted cast shells, cast aluminum swingarm with lower reinforcement truss. Specifically, we dealt with the Vehicle area by designing and manufacturing the following parts: general layout, frame, front suspension, rear suspension, bodywork (through additive manufacturing).
